A new networking group has been formed for all Certified Main Street Managers and I am pleased to be the group's manager on LinkedIn. I compelted the program in 2003.
Certified Main Street Managers are individuals who have graduated from Certification Institute sponsored by the National Trust Main Street Center. This two year long and intensive program is open to all Main Street managers who pass a rigorous application process. A week-long institute is held in January of each year at the National Trust offices in Washington DC. Students spend two and a half days on each of the four points of Main Street over the course of the two years. There is a half day exam on each of the points as well as copious readings to prepare.
This past January I was asked to teach the Organization Point at Certification Institute in Washington.
So far and with little advance advertising, we have ten members and are looking for more. If you graduated from Certification Institute, please contact me for an invitation to join our LinkedIn networking group.
